The correspondents include off-reservation boarding schools, including Fort Stevenson Indian School, Santee Normal Training School, Fort Totten Indian School, Bismarck Indian School, Carlisle Indian Industrial School, and Haskell Institute; the Commissioner of Indian Affairs; the American Missionary Association; officials at Indian warehouses; and vendors.
